A dear old friend of mine introduced me at a production meeting as "That Famous Polish Lighting Designer" and we all chuckled. During the production the crew gave me a pen/desk set with the engraving TFPLD. As the internet came into popular culture i needed an email addy. I tried 4 different names and on my last chance i looked at my pen/desk set and said of course "TFPLD"

"Watching My Hair Grow" in pittsburgh and boston 1995

This one man play was first produced in pittsburgh.  Jeff Shade wrote/directed/produced this.  A little over a year later we did it again in boston. A year later he got a production in NYC.. I was not asked.  It was my first time dealing with creating a new piece where my work was taken from me without regard.  Theater can be a tough life.

"Master Class" for City Theatre 2000

Love this play.  Loved working on it.  Would do it in a heartbeat again.  Wish i had some better shots to showcase.

"How I learned to Drive" for the Pittsburgh Public Theatre 1999

This was the last production for the Pittsburgh Public Theater at the Hazlett Theater space.  While i was very happy to have a chance to design the play it was bittersweet in some ways.  I had "cut my teeth" working for that company and still had many friends who i was very happy to rejoin.  I was also happy to work with the other designers and the director on this project.  Ray's set was great to work on.
